For accountants

Help clients understand funding fit before they waste time chasing the wrong scheme.

Claima gives accountants a source-traced way to spot relevant UK funding, explain fit signals cautiously, and organise reusable evidence with SME clients.

Why accountants

Accountants are the right audience for source-traced funding work.

Accountants advising SME clients carry the judgement load already — sector context, accounts profile, funding history, and the conversations that turn a published criterion into a real decision. Claima is built to give that judgement better source-traced inputs and a place to organise reusable evidence — not a new black-box AI tool that announces client outcomes.

  • Accountants already do the judgement work — Claima gives them better source-traced inputs.
  • Funding fit is judgement, not search. Accountants interpret published criteria against client context.
  • Reusable evidence saves repeated client work across opportunities.
  • Cautious labels respect the accountant's review authority — Claima does not announce client outcomes.
Client-advisory workflow

Six steps. Accountant-led at every step.

Claima slots into the way accountants already advise SME clients on funding. Each step below shows where Claima helps — and, just as importantly, where the accountant remains in the loop.

  1. Identify client context

The accountant brings the SME's sector, R&D activity, accounts profile, and funding history into the conversation. That context shapes what funding is worth considering and what is not.

Claima does not generate the client context.

  2. Discover source-traced opportunities

Claima surfaces verified live opportunities from official funder sources, each one traced back to its funder home and date-read. Awarded-project intelligence (UKRI Gateway to Research) is kept structurally separate from live application sources.

Claima does not invent opportunities or list unverifiable sources.

  3. Inspect fit signals

Each fit signal carries a cautious label — Appears to match, Evidence needed, Potential gap, Source stale, Reviewer action required, Stack check needed, or Not assessed — with its reasoning and the source/date-read context. The accountant sees the same trail Claima sees.

Claima does not say the client qualifies.

  4. Identify evidence gaps

The accountant sees what evidence is Ready, what is Needed, and what is Not assessed. Gaps are visible, not buried. The shape of the gap drives the next conversation with the client.

Claima does not auto-collect evidence from the client.

  5. Decide next action

From the signal and the evidence state, the accountant chooses the next step — verify, collect, re-read the source, review the criterion, perform a stack check, or decide whether to continue. The next action is accountant-owned.

Claima does not decide the funding action.

  6. Reuse evidence for future opportunities

Once evidence is organised against one opportunity, the same evidence informs other funding work for the same client. The Evidence Vault is reusable across applications — reviewed by the accountant.

    Claima does not auto-submit, auto-draft, or auto-export.

Discover · Fit · Evidence Vault for practices

Three v1 capabilities, through the accountant lens.

Claima v1 is deliberately narrow: three capabilities that work together to give the accountant a source-traced, evidence-aware view of relevant UK funding.

  • Discover

Verified UK funding sources, traced to their official funder home. Catalogue refresh cadence is 24 hours.

  • Fit

Cautious fit signals per published criterion. The accountant sees the reasoning and the source/date-read.

  • Evidence Vault

Reusable evidence per client. Reviewed by the accountant. Not automatic submission.

Evidence reuse across client work

Organise once. Reuse across opportunities for the same client.

A lot of the work in funding readiness is the same evidence appearing in different conversations — company registration, financial evidence, R&D activity, prior funding record. When that evidence is organised once against an opportunity, it stays organised for the next one.

Reusable evidence reduces repeated client requests and gives the accountant a single, dated, source-linked view of what is Ready, what is Needed, and what is Not assessed.

  • Company registration evidence
  • Financial evidence
  • R&D activity evidence
  • Prior funding record

Reusable across applications. Reviewed by the accountant. Not automatic submission.

Trust boundaries

What Claima emits. What accountants own. What funders decide.

  • Claima surfaces funding readiness, fit signals, evidence, source, and date-read context.
  • Accountants interpret, decide next actions, and own client judgement.
  • Funders decide eligibility and awards.
  • AI helps parse, organise, compare, and explain — it does not replace accountant judgement.
Private beta review

Review-led access. Narrow on purpose.

Claima is in private beta. Access is by invitation, and the cohort is deliberately small while the product, the cautious-claim discipline, and the review process are still being shaped with the accountants in the room.
